Locations

Create and manage asset locations.

Locations describe where assets are kept and provide destinations for transfers.

Create and browse

Search locations or filter by type. Select a row to open or update it.

Location assignment affects the Dashboard's Unassigned card and can be changed on Asset details.

    Open Create Location

    Fill in the details

    Choose a location type and add address details where useful.

    Select Create Location

    The location appears in the list and asset location selectors.

Field reference

NameRequiredThe location name shown throughout Ark.
CodeRequiredThe location's short identifier.
TypeRequiredChoose AV Room, Branch, Data Center, Factory, Laboratory, Library, Office, or Other.
Address Line 1OptionalPrimary street address.
Address Line 2OptionalAdditional address information.
CityOptionalCity in the location address.
ProvinceOptionalState or province in the location address.
Postal CodeOptionalPostal or ZIP code.
CountryOptionalCountry in the location address.

List columns

List columnShows
NameLocation name; select the row for details.
CodeLocation code.
TypeLocation type.
CityCity, when recorded.
CountryCountry, when recorded.
MembersNumber of members linked to this location.
Created AtDate and time the record was created.
