Dashboard overview

Understand the dashboard cards and depreciation view.

The Dashboard follows the asset portfolio from summary totals to value, distribution, items needing attention, and recently added records. Read it from top to bottom to decide where to go next.

Add New Asset

The button in the page header opens the asset register. From there, select Create Asset. The create and import guide explains both ways to add records.

Portfolio summary cards

These eight cards summarize the current register. Asset status describes the lifecycle values used by the In Use and Under Maintenance counts.

CardWhat it counts
Total AssetsActive, non-deleted assets in the register.
In UseAssets currently marked In Use. The subtitle shows their percentage of the register.
Under MaintenanceAssets currently marked Under Maintenance and offline for work.
Critical AssetsAssets flagged as critical in their asset record.
UnassignedAssets with no location on record; this refers to location, not the Assigned To field.
WarrantiesAssets with a warranty end date within 30 days.
AMC ContractsAssets with an AMC end date within 30 days.
Maintenance DueAssets with scheduled maintenance due within seven days.

Portfolio Depreciation

The horizontal bar compares current book value with depreciation against the original purchase value. When no asset has a purchase value, the card says there is nothing to report.

The Full report button opens Financial Reports, which currently provides an Excel export. See Financial reports for that screen and Asset details for the values entered on an asset.

Status Mix and Assets Added

Status Mix is a chart of asset counts by lifecycle status. Read Asset statuses for the meaning of each slice.

Assets Added shows the last 12 months. Its bars count assets added in each month, and its line shows the purchase value of those additions. The chart says so when no assets were added in that period.

Assets by Category and Location

Assets by Category counts assets in each category. Its View all button opens the category list; the Categories guide explains how to create categories and use the hierarchy.

Assets by Location counts assets at each location and labels records without one as Not assigned. Its View all button opens Locations; see the Locations guide.

Items needing attention

Each list shows the asset tag, asset name, and relevant date. An empty list states that no matching items are due soon. The list rows are summaries; use the related guides to investigate or update a record.

The Warranty, AMC, and Maintenance Due View all buttons currently open Monitoring, which shows portfolio totals and breakdowns. The asset reports guide explains the dedicated Warranty and AMC reports. Insurance View all opens the asset register.
