Maintenance requests

Track a request from approval through completion.

Maintenance requests track service work for an asset from submission through its outcome.

Request service

Request Maintenance is available for assets marked In Use, Deployed, or In Stock when you can edit records.

Open an asset record or find it with the QR scanner. Maintenance Type options come from Maintenance types.

Manage the lifecycle

Find requests with the list's search, status, and priority controls. On a request detail page, permitted reviewers can approve or reject a pending request. Permitted managers can start approved work, then complete, hold, fail, or resume it as its status allows. The page records activity alongside the request.

Approve and complete maintenance

The approval dialog can assign a person, vendor, and scheduled date; all three are optional. Starting, holding, resuming, and cancelling work each offer optional remarks or a reason. Rejection requires a reason.

When maintenance fails

Mark as Failed opens a separate form. Rejection also requires a reason, while putting work on hold, resuming, starting, or cancelling uses an optional remarks or reason field.
